Dinner at the Italian Pantry

I work at a cafe/pantry called The Italian Pantry and on Friday nights they do dinner.  I had been wanting to go for some time and finally I made reservations.  Each Friday they change their menu and it always looks so amazing so it was due time that we went.  I booked it for Lindsay, Pamela, Nic and Zoe, my Tasmanian family.
I don't have a ton of pictures but I can tell you what Lindsay and I shared.  For starters we shared octopus, meatballs, frittata and tortelloni for the table.  It was all great and we gobbled it up real quick. Next Lindsay and I shared pork belly that was on top of potatoes and veggies which I enjoyed but Lindsay said was too fatty, but that is what pork belly is like.  And then we also shared a piece of Lasagna that had hard boiled eggs and peas in it.  I am not a fan of peas but this was one of the best lasagna's that I have ever had (besides my mothers).  The recipe came from the chef's mother who is originally from Italy.  It was awesome and I plan on getting the recipe before I go home.  Lastly we shared dessert.  I know you are probably thinking that this is a ton of food and yes it is but it is so hard to decide what to get so if you live here and get a chance to go to dinner there just share plates because you really want to get the whole experience.  Anyways we shared this chocolate pudding, but I would call it a chocolate lava cake.  They bake it for around 8 minutes and the inside is still filled with melted chocolate.  It was amazing.  Lindsay and I both said we could have probably eaten one on our own each but we were glad we split it.
Here are two pictures that we took of our family.  The first one we must have been laughing about something, but the second one is a really nice one of us!

They are on facebook and if you want they post pictures of the food they put out.  Check them out.  They are really great people and the food is amazing.
